Founded: 30 May 1991 (Following the establishment of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus)
The roots of Belarusian biathlon trace back to the Soviet era, producing champions on the world stage. After 1992, the BBF officially took over the legacy, joining the IBU as a full member.
Golden Era: The 1990s–2010s saw Belarusian athletes (like Darya Domracheva — 4x Olympic Champion) dominate the World Cup and Olympic podiums.
Modern Commitment: Today, the BBF focuses on rebuilding a sustainable, transparent system — honoring the past while embracing the IBU’s modern governance standards.
