Yuri Albers turns 75!
On June 7, 2026, state coach Yuri Albers celebrated his 75th birthday. It is impossible to imagine Belarusian biathlon without him.

This USSR Master of Sports has over half a century of coaching experience. Since 1990, his career has been inextricably linked with the national team: under his leadership, Belarusian biathletes have won Olympic medals, championships, and World Cups in biathlon.

A ceremony honoring him was held in Raubichi today, a place that has become his second home. Representatives of the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Sport of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian Biathlon Federation, and the Raubichi Regional Olympic Center delivered congratulations on this special occasion. Words of gratitude were expressed to the coach for his dedication, outstanding professional achievements, and significant contribution to strengthening the country's sporting prestige.

The atmosphere in the hall was truly warm. Guests viewed archival footage and video greetings from Belarusian biathletes—the Smolsky family, the Vorobei family, Dmitry Lazovsky, Ivan Tulatin, and the entire women's national team.
The highlight of the evening was the display of a special anniversary film created by the First Information Channel, where viewers were able to follow the key milestones in the professional career of the honored coach.

The Belarusian Biathlon Federation congratulates Yuri Albers on this significant date! In honor of this momentous occasion, Federation  President Andrian Tsybulski presented Yuriy Albers with a symbolic painting, "On the Rise."
The staff of the Belarusian Biathlon Federation wishes good health, boundless energy, and warmheartedness! Thank you for everything you have done for Belarusian biathlon!
